Grants

Regardless of your writing project, or your pottery selection, you will find my prices competitive with similiar professional services.    Call for more information.

Grantwriting is a separate skill and requires more than simply accurate English.  It requires passion, persuasion, and an ability to summarize efficiently.  It requires time spent understanding your needs and how they mesh with the grantor.  It requires accurate complilations of the necessary documents and timely submission. Grantwriting may be priced by the job or by the hour ($35 per). Government grants may be higher.

Annual reports, letters of intent, logic models, narratives, magazine articles, press releases, and other written projects are priced by the hour at $35 per.  Time spent interviewing, doing research or other required pre-writing work is also compensated at the same rate.

Professional editing is available at a rate of $25 hour. Re-writes will be charged at the $35 rate.

Print ads will be written and produced with your materials at $35 hour, which will include one revision. One-hour minimum on all jobs.  Additional revisions will be made at the $25 hour rate.

Other printing projects such as brochures will be prepared as drafts only. Preprint services must be obtained elsewhere, though I will be happy to research your options and make recommendations.

I write to live but live to pot.  My ware is available for sale and I may consider a commission.  I occasionally take on a student. Currently I am working on a set of dishes for my daughter so will be unavailable for commissions until spring.  Pieces are priced individually (see gallary) and lessons are $25 for individuals or $20 for 2-3 in class.  Clay and firing fees apply.

All my pottery is created with utility and beauty in mind.  You can use my casseroles in the oven or microwave and you can nuke my mugs as well. My more fanciful pots, such as my bag lady teapots can still brew tea, though they are designed with the collector in mind.

When I need a book and cannot find it, I write it!  I've written a variety of books, both for myself and for clients.  Shown here are a few.  If you need a training manual, a memoir, or other ambitious work or if you are a publisher interesting in picking up any of the books shown here, please contact me.
